How to check whether a college is registered or not in South Africa

It is imperative to make sure that the college you are planning on studying at is in fact registered. Every year many students register with unregistered colleges, only realising it’s all a sham when it’s already too late.

college, private or public, should be able to give proof that they are registered with the Department of Higher Education. Ask the college to send you proof of their DHET registration certificate. You can also contact the Department of Higher Education and enquire about a college’s credentials.
