Additional Post Requirements:
Be in possession of a three (3) year Degree or Diploma recorded on the
National Learner Record Database on NQF level 6 or higher is required
with any of the following disciplines: Forensic Investigation, Criminology,
Policing, Police Administration, or a Degree in LLB/BA in Criminology /
BA in Forensic Science and Technology/ BA in Police Science;
Minimum Information Security Standard (MISS) Act and Good
Laboratory / Manufacturing Practice will be an added Advantage;
Relevant experience in the field of the post will be an advantage;
Skills in respect of decision-making, communication, strategic thinking,
presentation, report writing, word processing, excel spread sheets,
facilitation, inter- and intra-personnel relations and management skills.
Conduct Forensic Awareness for Ballistics functions;
Extensive communication to clients;
Compilation of statistics and analysis of report writing;
Designing and compilation of Forensic Campaigning material;
Procurement of forensic awareness resources;
Strategically planning and drafting of forensic awareness plans;
Conducting forensic exhibitions and presentation throughout the

Crime Scene processing to keep the competence and skills up to date;
Developing and reviewing of Forensic Biology awareness materials;
